Ever since the brewery opened in 2009, we have been holding acoustic music sessions at the brewery on Saturday nights. They are informal, fun nights that are immensely enjoyable. We never know who or how many musicians are coming but we generally get a variety of different instruments and styles and anybody who would like to is encouraged to play a tune, sing a song, read a poem, joke or story and join in (or just listen and enjoy the beer)
The brewery has excellent acoustics which helps to create a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere.
It starts around seven and goes on until midnight.
Sarah Davies organises these evenings and she is herself a singer/songwriter and there are C.D.s for sale in the brewery.
Saturday Night is Music Night at the Brewery!
....'As a singer/songwriter I enjoy my Saturday nights at the Gwuan Valley Brewery, good company, good acoustics, good beer, a good evening all round.'
Paul Hayes regular performer
“A gentle, friendly and intimate session – accompanied by fine Welsh ales and an appreciative audience”
Pete Hollingsworth visiting musician
“Friendly and relaxed session whether you want to take part in the music or listen (or both!), hosted with great enthusiasm by Sarah”.
Annette Jacob regular fiddle player
There's a splendid microbrewery at the old Kilkiffeth Farm, where musicians gather every Saturday. There are poems and tunes and song; why don't you come along?
You can drink and eat and listen as they play!
